I am using Cubase 14, with VST Connect pro 5.5
VST Connect used to work fine in the past, however in the last 12 months, my Performer suddenly could not log onto her Steinberg account any more. Even though, she could log on into Steinberg website. I had to connect her through the ID/code.
Also in the last 12 month, I often noticed during a recording session, while every went smoothly, after about 40-45min into the recording session, VST suddenly disconnected and said “connection time out…”
I had to then log back in with a new code. The flow of inspiration during recording was really interrupted by this, each time VST disconnected, I lost at least 15-20 min to make them work again. Can you let me know why connection timed out often occur and is there any function somewhere I should tweak.

You say “often”, can you specify? There was a short period where there were server problems, but those have been solved. You should be able to connect like always, if logging in via her account happens frequently, let us know, if possible also when it happened.
As much as we, try we cannot entirely exclude connection to be disrupted during the session. However, just as with logging on, this should not happen frequently. If it does, it would be helpful to specify some date/time information as to when that happens, thanks.

So I’m asking why you’re not using the latest version 5.6.0 Build 734?

I constantly updated my Cubase as well as VST Connect Pro, I’m sure my VST connect Pro is the up to date version 5.6
I also make sure my performer always has the most up to date VST connect in her PC before every remote recording sessions.
