Today is the 3rd time I use VST Connect Performer 64bit (latest version), but now it doesn’t work. The launching logo comes, then it opens the software, but keeps loading forever and then shows as “not responding”.
I checked for VST Connect updates, there were none, and driver updates for my Focusrite, none as well. I tried restarting, re-installing, also re-installing to a previous version. Also tried launching with different input/output settings, and both with and without focusrite plugged. The exact same issue persists.
Hello and welcome Lucretia,
I don’t know “Focusrite”, but I suspect it’s not the audio interface.
To be on the safe side, you could check the driver for this or even reinstall it.
And what is your platform? PC (Windows 10/11) or MAC?
I only use Windows. I can’t say anything about MAC.
The current version of VST Connect and Performer is 5.6.0 Build 734.
If something doesn’t work in Windows, I always restart the program, which can often help.
Reinstalling the program in question is sometimes also a solution.
If it has worked before but has stopped working recently, it may also be due to the latest Windows update.
For example, if the driver is no longer certified due to changed security rules in Windows.
If this is the case, it may be necessary to make a change to the security settings in Windows.
E.g. switch off the “kernel protection”…
You should check your plugins. Probably a plugin locks when Performer scans plugins. Try to rename plugin folders to see if that is the culprit. And if you recently installed a plugin, that is most likely the cause.
Another issue could be that a plugin (or Performer) opens a message box, which is hidden behind other windows and males the app appear like not responding. Try and close all windows to find such a hidden dialog or message box.
