We are looking into the issue.
But you should know that there is an alternative way to connect:
- do not log in
- click the “ID” button
- you will be presented a code with 2 groups of 4 digits
- pass that code to the talent
- talent opens Performer (must not log in either!) and likewise clicks the “ID” button
- Performer enters the code and hits return
Hope that works for you until we resolved the issue.

unfortunately there is currently a problem logging in via Steinberg ID.
I had to use musicullum’s tip to get it working.
Unfortunately, login via the friends page is no longer possible due to security reasons reg. the “Friends” service.
We are preparing a new version which omits login, and the friends page altogether.
Then, and also for now, you need to use the ID method to connect. Here is a short recap:
- on both sides, do not log in
- Studio clicks ID button to obtain a code (group of two numbers)
- Studio passes code to Performer (mail, whatsapp, phone…)
- Performer clicks ID item and enters code
- Performer clicks connect

Did this change happen today? Because everything was working perfectly fine yesterday.
And I ask myself, as a dealer and as a trainer at my own school: Can’t you give us advance notice before making such a drastic change to a service? Can’t you send a notification through support before you cause harm to others’ work?
We’d like to have known earlier ourselves. We just had to react, that was priority.
The change isn’t all that drastic, because there is a secondary way to connect. We are sorry for the inconvenience and will provide an updated version asap.
it doesn´t work
We are really looking forward to the update. Last week, I spent half an hour trying to figure out how to fix the problem when I finally understood the connection via ID.
Yeah, VST Connect only connects with the ID now. I think there were security concerns over logging in to the user account.
