Started to get the report every time I reopen Dorico:
Dorico works and plays back but does anyone know why this happens? I am about to create a Keyboard Maestro macro to click “send to steinberg” when the dialog opens…

Does is happen if you remove dSONIQ Realphones?
I tried the first step: removed relphones from output insert effects.
Still got the dialog.
The next step would be to remove Realphones from the system completely.
…well I am using the plugin when working with headphones. But still worth a try to isolate the problem at least. Trying this later.
Yes, it’s definitely the Realphones plug-in that is crashing and bringing down the audio engine. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that it’s using the JUCE framework and is having the common “crash on destruction” problem that many JUCE-based plug-ins exhibit. It would probably be worth sending these crash logs to the team at dSONIQ to alert them to the problem.
The weird thing is: I had Realphones installed all the time and no alerts until yesterday.
Yesterday was the day when there were definitely no updates to either system or any music/audio software.
I was too hasty. Stating that removing Realphones from output insert did not work. Of course I did get the report next time after removing the plugin because Dorico still had the plugin loaded. But then after second quit and no Realphone present in effects- no report. For now using Redline Monitor of 112db with no issues.
I have now a similar issue with SIR3 https://www.siraudiotools.com/SIR3.php reverb.
I won’t send reports any more, probably the same issue again?
Everything works fine, incl. reverb that indeed reverbates but every time I had a file with SIR3 present in mixer, after quitting D. and opening again, it asks if I want to send a report.
Minor annoyance only because D is open full day.
The reports that you send via that button into our crash analysis system are difficult to trace back to an individual user. So in order to make sure I’d like you to do from Dorico’s menu Help > Create Diagnostic Report and post here the corresponding zip file which will contain the dump files that we want to see. Thanks
Thank you, here it is.
Dorico Diagnostics.zip (714.0 KB)
Thanks for the data. In fact yes, they are crashes inside the SIR3 plug-in.
Thanks for info.
Because I am routing Dorico’s audio through DigitalPerformer anyway (via Rogue Amoeba’s Loopback) I moved SIR3 to DP mixer, there it gives no errors.
I am doing the DP routing because Dorico seems to only reconise one stereo pair at a time of my Focusrite Clarett+ interface and I have 2 pairs in use: one for speakers and another for headphone preamp.
Yes, it is like that. Dorico can only route to one stereo out port at the moment. It’s not a “natural” limitation, the audio engine is already capable of it, but we are lagging a user interface for it and the logic to control it. But one day that will also come.
