VST instruments latency..

I suddenly experience an annoying latency when I´m using VST instruments. I have patched up a simple EMU USB-keyboard and I have never had this problem before.
I have and iMac and Steinberg MR816CSX. The latency appears when I`m using built-in-audio too.

Any suggestions?

you haven’t got any look ahead plugins (limiter)on your master bus by any chance?
