The installers are available to download from the Steinberg website and via the Steinberg Download Assistant .

Risk of play/stop freeze with Audient EVO8

Sorry for the question, should it work now ok? Because it can still happen Today it happened after a VSTLive at “Generic ASIO” with onboard Realtek connected EVO8 Generic driver re-initialised itself (I guess for including EVO8 to array) set /Devices/AudioSetup to ==>> Audient ASIO VSTLive (v1.3.2) cound’t hold EVO8 to change up sample-rate from 48 to 96k set back 48k in /Devices/Audio Setup hit PLAY (play started) hite STOP (freeze, “white death”). If can I do something to help your…

… sorry, @fkalmus, this version 1.3.10 did not include any improvements for your problem. But the next version on Friday will contain a new fix. That (hopefully) should fix your and the AXE I/O problem.

Just doing a quick/rapid test before leaving to play: it appeared they (VSTLive & EVO8) are shaking hands more friendly. Is the fix applyed then?

Are you talking 1.3.11, yes. This fix is included. It’s not mentioned in the Version History. I’ve updated the PDF some minutes ago. Let us know how is going the next days. Thank you.

Happy to say, no sudden freeze when hitting “STOP” so far
VSTLive still can lose control over EVO when changing to Audient’s ASIO and “reset” sample-rate to 96k, but no freeze. While Cubase (12pro) can dominate EVO8 use “pre-set” sample-rate. (I wrote to Audient’s helpdesk a follow-up asking to make ASIO even-more “servant” when releasing new driver).
I’am happy with these, no sudden freeze at STOP, so thank you for your effort fix this issue in VSTLive!
