Anywhere I download the installer or the release notes from the download page it initially blocks the download as an unsafe download. I am using Chrome as browser.
For me it is the same. I then take Firefox and indicate that I can continue with HTTP. But it would of course be better if the download page had an HTTPS address.

Yeah, Chrome has this feature that can be turned off. Pre-releases are on a http site that is “suspicious” to google chrome (it would be on https w.o. a signed cert too). If you don’t want to touch your “Secure Browsing” settings in Chrome, the version avaiable in Steinberg Download Assistant won’t have such a problem.
