Note : If you already installed the latest Pre-Release 2.2, you don’t need to jump to this version. Nothing changed. We just pushed this version to the Steinberg Download Assistant.

See you,
Michael.

Still problems with Cubase DAWProject import into VSTLive 2.2 here.

My first test project was a simple 1 track Kontakt 8 (latest update) Rhodes instrument (The Famous E Rhodes) track with a little midi file.

  • export from Cubase to DAWProject file
  • import of DAWProject file into VST Live 2.2
  • Kontakt library samples not loaded (error message)
  • midi settings not imported properly (any channel instead of channel 1)
  • midi controller keyboard not working

In addition, the same insert effect settings which worked in Cubase caused hum in VSTLive (gain staging not imported 1:1?)

In short: one big mess.

HI @jim_knopf,

is it possible to have access to the DAWproject file? Then we analyse the project.
Question : Have you tried to import the DAWproject file back to Cubase? That’s fine?

Thank you,
Michael.

Yes, reimporting the DAWProject file into Cubase worked without any problem.

I guess you can’t do much with my DAWproject file, as long as you don’t have my FamousE Rhodes library for Kontakt, can you? Do you have Kontakt8 and any Kontakt8 libraries? If yes, which ones, so I might test these?

Maybe I will test the functionality with some HalionSonic instrument next.

… That’s good!

I have access to Native Access and Kontakt 8. I guess all libraries, too. But I cannot find “FamousE” in the “Native Access” application. Is that the name? If you like to can give me that file and I’ll check what’s going on.

And or

Do you have access to “80s New Wave”? It’s a small library and fast to install.

Thank you very much for your help,
Michale.
