VST Live 3 major issues

Hello everyone,

I have been a satisfied user of VST Live 2 for the majority of 2025 until I upgraded to version 3 last December. During my band’s performance, playback unexpectedly skipped, prompting me to disable it. This issue recurred yesterday during rehearsals.

I am currently considering reverting to VST Live 2 or purchasing B Beat. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I’m currently using version 3.0.10.88. In the middle of a song in our show, the playback advanced a bit (heard the click skipping a beat). The same thing happened recently. I hope the new version you mentioned will fix this major issue.

We don’t know if it is an issue, but 3.0.17 works me better also different things are fixed.

Try to torture 3.0.17 and try to collect any further data about the problem you’re experiencing

I am currently on the latest version, 3.0.51.221, and the skipping occurred again twice in the middle of last night’s concert. I strongly feel I can’t rely on VST Live 3 for our concerts. I am using it on a M5 MacBook Pro with 24GB Ram and Tahoe 26.5.2 and with Behringer Wing Rack. So what’s wrong Steinberg? I hope you can respond to this problem.

To the people here, should I transfer to another program for our live shows? Any suggestions? We have videos and lyrics in sync so any program similar would be a warm welcome.

If Steinberg can give me a sure fix, that will be something to consider given the investment of purchasing this software and the amount of music, lyrics & videos already loaded and programmed.

That does seem strange.

What audio file format are you using?

Is your click generated by VSTL or is it an audio track?

Are you using FlexLoops?

To help, we need every detail you can tell us. What skipped? Tracks? Audio, Video? Lyrics? All? An audio-scratch? A complete Beat? Bar?

File format: Wave 48 kHz / 16 bit ; click is wave ; all tracks are wave files

Ok.

As Spork said - you need to describe exactly what happened in detail. Might be an idea to send your project file so they can have a look.

It might not be a VSTL issue, so better not to apportion blame until all the details are known.
