VST Live Master–Slave Multi-Laptop Setup

I’m planning to use VST Live for my band’s live show. The setup I have in mind is a master–slave configuration, where one main laptop runs the backing tracks and click, and each performer has their own laptop running VST Live as a slave.

Is this type of setup supported in VST Live? Can the slave laptops stay fully synchronized with the master, including song selection, song position, parts, tempo changes, and timeline location in real time?

Use rtpMIDI via internal wifi/ethernet

Send MTC + song dials + start|stop|etc from master and set all slaves for MTC slave

Could you please elaborate?

Where did you stuck?

How do I send song dials + start|stop?

Please, exact and clean questions.
Use search in manual here:

  • I would create dummy a LAYER for every song and send specific numbers from (to fire songs on SLAVEs)

  • OUTput Transport Actions to rtpMIDI via Actions and Shortcuts

  • set master VSTLive MTC out destination to rtpMIDI

  • set MTC slave, for all slave VSTLive’s

  • set Actions and Shortcuts receive the Song-dials, Transport-states

As alternative, you can try on slaves:

With that on the channel from/where you send Start/Stop

crossing fingers, let us know on this forum how is such a vstlive-master/slave working

I’ve already quoted the specific part I wanted elaboration on, so my question was exact.

Will let you know when I try it. Thank you!
