Mine emits a nasty buzz and sometimes crashes on opening when not connected to VL. Even with volume all the way down. Same in previous version. Fortunately it is quiet when connected to VL.

Hi @CliveJ ! You mean the iOS app, right? (So it’s better not to update yet, as there is no way to step back then?)
… can you give us some hints? "When do the “nasty buzz” sound? On start? While connected? Crashes? We’ll check if we received your crash logs.

The buzz starts as soon as I open the app if the app cannot connect to VL or if wifi on phone is switched off. Can still navigate into the windows but obviously nothing there.

Also is fine on my iPad.
iPhone 12 Pro Max is giving me the problem.
… hm. That’s the problematic one? With iOS 18.0.1? Have you tried to remove the application and install it again?
… are there other users around with the same device and iOS version? Do you have a buzz, too?

Deleted and reinstalled - same problem.
Why does Live Mods need access to the microphone? It doesn’t use it, unless you know something I don’t…

What if implementing “talkback” function to iOS app. Latency is not an issue. Talkback goes to a set e.g.: IEM Bus. Purpose is to be able “talkback” from FOH via the iOS app.
@Spork is it totally idiot one for a future iteration of the app when a hoped future MIXIER-VIEW will be added too? Dont’t forget, VSTL PC is not necessary will be in FOH, just an iPad

Interesting idea @fkalmus - but it wouldn’t be very loud if limited to the device speakers
Talkback to iOS mic ->TCP/IP>> VSTL ->IntRout>> TalkBackMixerBus ->UsrRout>> “IEM OUT with all the other stuff that goes to dedicated MONITOR MIXES” . No iOS speakers are involved. As @Spork have an amazing experience with VSTConnect… 
Ah - I was working the wrong way round. Talkback, in my experience is Mixer->Performers 
Yepp, but now think that iOS-microphone would act as a remote TalkBack input to VSTL via “MODs-app” .
E.g. @ciro1983811 and me, and… are routing to and processing everything in VSTL… I don’t use mixer-desk at all
I don’t use a mixer either - but that will change if they don’t sort out the “stack mute between songs” issue.
Then again, there’s only me performing so absolutely no need for this function - I already talk to myself 
Ok, so just tried my iPhone when connected to VL and the buzz is there as well.
Tryed with my phone and no buzz (iOS 17.6.1)
Meanwhile cycle loop is not handled by iOS app, timeline just goes on instead of jumping back (nor cycle or flexloop one). I don’t know if it’s a know issue or not, @Spork ?
