VST Live Mods and/or Alternative

Hello,

I am using the latest VST Live Pro and the latest Live Pro Mods.

During rehearsals for a musical I’m directing, I would like to share the timing of the lyrics with the students. My iPad works, but no iPhones do. Both the iPhone and iPad say"online" and “No Song” at the top. The lyrics still show on the iPad, not the case for iPhones.

I read somewhere about hosting locally so that VST Live Mods wouldn’t need to be used. Is that an option, or are there instructions on how to set up the system for VST Live Mods? I saw a brief lyrics section but it didn’t mention how to set it up for others to view.

Thank you!

HI @Kevinlogo,

… good.

… please check the “Local Network” Settings in the System Preference. Locate “VST Live Mods”. It should look something like this (it’s german for me)

“Lokales Netzwerk” / “Local Network” must be enabled.

Does it help?

… there were some discussions around. @fkalmus? Can you please help me here?

See you,
Michael.

Hi @Spork , Sure, will do my best!

Hi @Kevinlogo , can you please explain this with another words what you’re exactly looking for? I will do my best help you to find the right solution

Hi,

The idea was from this post of someone trying to get around only having Android.

“Hi Valerio, I was referring to the ability of the computer running VST Live Pro to host a local web page. That way you wouldn’t have to connect using an app. Instead, you could just open a browser and display the Lyrics on any device.”

Ohhhh, Yes. SpaceDesk (or any other software offering such). So you create a virtual monitor out and view that “screen” on the tablet.

Then you simply open lyrics (or whatever) view-tab on that “virtual-monitor”
