VST Live Pre-Release 2.1.24 is online

Hi Friday,

it’s quite early today, but another new 2.1.24 Pre-Release of VST Live is ready and online. You can download it here. You also can find a Version History there. If you found new bugs or bugs which are not fixed, please create a new thread and title it with [2.1.24].

This version contains some new features

Actions : Added Monitor/Record controls to Channels
It’s now possible to control the Monitor and Record control of a channel

App : Added DAWproject Import
Yes, here’s a Preview to Import DAWproject files. You don’t know DAWproject? You can find more infos here. It’s now possible to transfer your Bitwig or Studio One projects to VST Live. Of course, Cubase 14 supports DAWproject - Export, too. But VST Live already has an Import/Export component for Cubase/Nuendo.

Preferences : Added “Sort Part Triger” to STUDIO
Enable this Preference if you want to keep your Part-Trigger while dragging parts.

Preferences : Added TRACKS category
That’s a small one. We’ve added a new category to the Preferences - for a better overview.

TRACKS : Added Solo/Mute control to Track-View headers
And finally a high requested feature or workflow improvement. Show Mute/Solo controls to the header of a Track View. It goes like this …

That’s the default track-view

If you resize the height of a track view, some controls will be hidden

And if you resize it again, the Mute/Solo control will jump to the header

And like always we’ve fixed bugs and quirks.

Have a nice weekend,
Michael.

Wow!

Awesome, we appreciate it very much!

Are they also available in the automation track ?

Installed in afternoon, now soundcheck, changed song:

  • VL stopped playback engine. Could toggle PLAY button, but no play (playhead remained stationary)
  • Installed back v.x.x.21 and that is working

Not 100% sure about but just a slight feel (from 3days ago the same situ with .22 that is related to when it’s connected to the internal wifi (for mods app)….(( Wifi problem excluded, threw away an Asus router and just installed a new one yesterday))

Did you try twice?
If transport doesn’t run, the audio clock is lost, maybe just this time?

Happened with .22 thre days ago (connected to Asus wifi), then today with .24 (Cudy wifi) I had just a little time so spent it to downgrade. Will torture .24 on sunday.

UAD TWIN is mounted into the rack, no popup alert for dropped audio-interface (nor from VL or OS) (also reconstructed/moved my cello channel strip to UAD console to free up laptop resources (spare it for video and dmx)

@musicullum needless to say. Event eneded, installed .24 back…. All went okay (no issue).
I’m not saying it was false positive, but need to find the reason. And Thank you for your hint about audio clock

oh guys! That is so so practical, love it!!

@Spork now urgent but if you are there, do you think you can do the same with these objects

seems they use the “same-placeholders” where normally Solo/Mute buttons are.

Thanks guys, this one is pretty stable and bug-free for my main use (live global stacks, lots of plugins, recording tracks of global stacks for each song, videos, lyrics, dmx).

I’ll stick to this one till after new year eve gig i think… !!!

Great job!!!

I need to wait the fix to be able to re connect my automation tracks :pensive:

Luckily I’m still using midi tracks sent to virtual cables to automate effects , never took the time to switch !

Nether I, simply created Automation track for newly added songs from the time of VSTL2.0 release and stopped creating this via MIDI tracks
