VST Live Pre-Release 2.2.63 is online

It’s finally Friday — and we’re happy to share a brand new pre-release version 2.2.63. You can download it here. This update introduces another handy workflow improvement:

Media Bay: Drag Assets to Folder
You can now drag assets such as Songs, Parts, and Players directly into a folder in the Media Bay.

As always, this release also includes various bug fixes. You can find more details in the full notes

And that’s not all — we’re also busy working on the next update of the iOS VST Live Mods. Stay tuned.

Have a great evening,
Michael

Hi @Spork ! Tested now on Mac  Seems I can drag songs from root to folder flawlessly into folder, or between folders.

But, and maybe I’m missing something - can’t drag the asset directly to the folder. At least while dragging, the yellow highlight appears only at hoovering on e.g. Song / .., but not when hoovering on Song / NewFolder

Can you make a quick screen recording to show the issue?

Thank you,
Michael.

Yes, I know — those issues are up next.

See you,
Michael.

No worries, at this point they’re just small details :winking_face_with_tongue:

Hi @Spork , sure, sry for the late reply. I think this video will point what I meant “can’t drag ‘directly’” to sub-folder, I need to drag to category-root first.

@fkalmus, I noticed the same. If I remember it behave different in earlier versions.

BTW in this way you save only song without assets (or the song is linked to the assets from current project) even if you drag to a subfolder later. Should use Save Song from menu, it stores song with assets in MediaBay (global - {userprofile}/Documents/VSTLive/songs)

Ah, thank you! That missing piece of the puzzle has now been added. Please give it a try with the next Pre-Release (2.2.64).

Thanks again,
Michael

“Is it art, or can it be dumped”?

It’s rubbish, some residual from former times…will remove, thanks for pointing to it
