VST Live Pre-Release 2.2.92 and 3.0.12 are online

Hi everyone,

It’s finally Friday — and new pre-release versions 2.2.92 and 3.0.12 are now available.

New features in VST Live 3

Tracks: Added Transform control for Video Tracks

  • X Offset: Move the video horizontally
  • Y Offset: Move the video vertically
  • X Scale: Adjust the video width
  • Y Scale: Adjust the video height
  • Keep Aspect Ratio: Preserve proportions while scaling
  • Mirror: Mirror the video output

Tracks: Video Tracks for Automation
Video Tracks can now be used as automation sources , allowing more dynamic and flexible control.

The following fix (for version 2 and 3) deserves special mention.
After a long investigation, we resolved an issue where MIDI notes could be lost when using virtual MIDI cables

thanks guys, really excited for this one. :slightly_smiling_face: :guitar:

Thanks guys!

I must say again that i cannot use V3 properly because of noises (vst plugins in tracks) and long loading times at song switch with monitor view in sight. This happens in old project (you have it).

Also could you add “double click on video preview in ispector opens the relative video monitor window”? i find myself often try to double click on video preview to view it full size

Cheers, Ciro.

What if collapsing INSP? Does it helps?

@Spork , i noticed that you have two areas of inspector expanded … in win11 i can expand only one area … the others collapse automatically. Is there an option ? i would like to keep preview expanded too but it collapses other areas. this is both in V3 and V2

PS: in DMX track inspector could you add the FADER area ? thanks!

You can expand multiple Inspector sections by holding Ctrl (Strg on Windows) while clicking on an expander.
Without the modifier key, opening one section will automatically collapse the others.

Good idea! Thank you.

See you,
Michael.

Oh!!! This need to be told somewhere, not even in the manual (like the CTRL+ to erase al remembered connection for a port in connections)!!

thanks tried, it works

By any chance in Ver 3 is there Lyrics color adjutments to particular lyric lines or words?

Different lyrics tracks can have different track color so lyric color. At the moment you only can send different lyrics to different lyrics windows, already asked to mix two tracks in same lyrics window.

Cheers, Ciro.

@ciro1983811 is right: at the moment you can only colorize a track, and therefore all events on that track. It’s on our list to add a tool for colorizing clips.

That’s right.

See you,
Michael.

Thank you. I would’ve thought coloring lines differently would’ve been more useful than multi lyric tracks/windows. Sigh.

For when the possibility of uploading scores in PDF from the Vst Live Mods app, I currently have to use a third-party app to duplicate the screen of my Mac on my iPad to see the vst viewer on the iPad, it gets very complicated!

The independent Lyrics is the right way  Like it. Nice job @Spork

But what is missing yet:

  • It should be possible to choose the lyrics track in the Mods App (did not found any option)
  • Please add the possibility to zoom more in. Slow songs with many lyrics in one bar are overlaying on some iPads

Good evening, I recently purchased VST Live Pro 3 and have started using it.
I’d like to report a probable error. The layer contains a MIDI transformer, which is very useful for complex programming. The problem is that programming in one layer affects all the other layers in the section, and it’s not possible to program other MIDI transformers in other layers. I think each layer should be independent in this function; it would be nice if that were the case.
I don’t know if this is the right point to report it, and I apologize for the English translation. Regards. Happy New Year!

Each Layer has its own transformer. Maybe you have used the MIDI input transformer in devices/connections?
