This playhead locator probl em seems to crop in and out of various versions. I’ve seen it show up, then disappear in another release and then re appear again in another version. Stooped keeping track of it.
you try to put the playhead after the end marker , right?
Try modify the EndMarker’s position by typing instead.

No I was trying to put the playhead anywhere into the last “block” between where it was and the end-marker.
When you zoom out, the parts become longer. Win 10, iPhone 13, VL 3,0,24

Some songs the audio plays back. Some songs the audio deoesn’t play. I have 1 song that has some reference audio tracks in it, aboust 5 songs on 1 single track. Some of the songs on that track play, and some don’t.
Sorry to say, but this is super frustrating. I really think Steinberg should stop developing further and just make what is supposed to work work properly. 
Any ideas/suggestions on which Ver3 is stable to use?

Song Media Files windows is listing your Audio files? (and more imporant, if there is anything suspicious between the sounding / not sounding files)
I spotted an another issue beside the above-mentioned track-play-problems.
Some Lyrics are gone.
Opening older Version (3.0.19) did not help. Back to 3.0.24 and opening the latest backup the lyrics are still gone - not all lyrics. I cannot find a reason about wich ones are gone. Till now i lost lyrics on 4 songs.
On an older “untouched! pc with 3.0.20 installed the lyrics ok. After accidentally opening a newer backup all described issues happens.
I edited the latest backup song for song. Exported all audiofiles new in 48kHz instead of 44.1kHz from Cubase, checked all midi-configs and tracks, controlled every dmx-settings and modo commands, removed all video tracks, checked the lyrics respectively make them new and: All things seems to go well - but some tracks did not play. After setting preferences from “quality to performance” and vice versa the tracks are working. Sometimes only restart VL helps.
Whats going wrong? Have you changed your programming system? Mixed up the programming code accidentally? Changed the code structure? Are there new drivers on Mac or Win?
It would be nice to know a little bit more about the instability or - if possible - how long it will take until a stable version comes up.
In the last years you always have very fast solutions. Many thanks for this. But the last 2 weeks make me believe that something bigger is going wrong.
P.S. Copy and paste in Lyrics did not work as expected.
Copy e.g. the chorus to paste it on another position on the song - thats what i always had done.
Now the pasted parts are all on the top in one line. Doesn’t matter where the cursor/songpoition stands.
There is a video grab. As you might notice, there are lots of issues,
-audio regions not playing playing back
-playhead doing it’s own thing
-Some songs do not playback. That is a little arbitary, while doing my screen recording this time all songs played, but in 1 of them a region did not play.
In terms of playback older VSTL 2.84(I think) plays back everything properly, but the playhead issue happens now and then.
Hate to say this, but I actually tell people nowadays NOT to buy VSTL as it’s so full of bugs. I recommended it 2 years ago and a couple of folks bought it, and then they complained to me, so now I just suffer quietly with it.
