Just starting Cubase 7. Cant connect UR44 to VST Connection. Says it is missing, tho I can hear the mic thru the headphones from the UR44. All seems so complex from this beginners viewpoint. Help would be welcomed. Oj
You hear the mic because it can monitor directly through the hardware regardless of connection to Cubase.
First you need to make sure you have the drivers installed and then go to Device Setup/VST Audio System and select Yamaha Steinberg USB driver. Then go to VST connections and add input output busses as required assigning them to the UR44 I/O
