VST Plugin inserts not getting audio?

When I add a VST Plugin as a Pre Insert it does not recieve audio. I can record audio and add a Post insert and the plugin works.

I just bought a Steinberg UR824 - (REPLACED A MOTU 8PRE). Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem.

I can record audio, but VST Plugins don’t work (as pre insert)

Any ideas??

Hi,

Do you mean Pre-Fader? Do you mean the plug-in is not processed while recording, or while playback?

Yes - Pre fader. I actually figured it out. I had direct monitoring on. I guess when I setup the UR824 I toggled it on which bypassed my pre fader VSTs.
