VST plugins available within the plugin manager but not via the Midi Inserts

Hi, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m trying to use some VST effects via the midi inserts area. None of the VST effects are available to choose from in there but they are all listed in the VST plugin manager.

I’ve tried rescanning and even copying the .vst file elsewhere and rescanning. The vst effects still don’t show up in the inserts section.
