VST presets

Good Morning all

quick question. can i get 3rd part VST preset names to show in the UI header next to the side chain buttons as per the included Steinberg instruments? the only 3rd party VST that i have that does this is the Korg M1.

the reason i ask is that the patch selection buttons on my controller only work if the patch name is in the UI header but the majority of them only show it in the GUI itself.

the older NI stuff has the text in this box which i also do not understand.

Hi,

It depends on the plug-in implementation. For the plug-in developer, there is a way, how to show the presets in the DAW dialog. It’s up to the manufacturer to implement this or not.
