Good morning, I think you are describing the activation of the new project’s playback and the deactivation of the one for the previous project - I used those words because in preferences there is a project activation setting (in the play category) called “activate subsequent project on load” with options for “ask”, “always”, and “never”.
Notice also the blue power button in the top bar next to the playback controls. This is the activation button. So… The best setting depends on how you work. If you set it to “never”then nothing will change playback wise (playback stays with the previous project) unless you manually press the blue button on the second .
Setting it to “ask” is never bad imo.
Many of us use VEP for really large playback templates, which involves no loading time at all when projects share the same vep.
And the other question sometimes is whether I’ve created two projects when it really should be two different flows in the same project, for a while at least.
