I can’t get Cubase to recognise another plugin. It’s a VST3 though, and an excellent one as well:
Maat Gon
You can try it yourself, it’s a free plugin.
What’s wrong with this plugin manager of cubase 14?

did you check the blacklist in the pluginmanger? if it is there try to re-activate
Yes. I also look to vst instrument, modulators folder, to vst report. I also try to install it in another folder, to authorize VST2… This plugin could not be detected by Cubase 14, although it worked fine with Cubase 13. And let me add that I can see the file in the explorer (windows) directory. It really is a mystery.
Tried C14, Ableton 11, Reaper 6, Wavelab and none of them see it.
You sure it’s working in 13 (same computer and from this installer?)
You’re right, my last version of Cubase was actually 12. But yes, it worked.
I don’t understand, you’ve tried Gon on all these softwares and none of them recognises it? There must be a bug with the latest version of Gon.
Nothing.
Yes…I only tried VST3 though.
So you say it worked on 12 rather than it’s working on 12…which I guess means you don’t have 12 installed now on the same computer to check it?
Seems unlikely if it doesn’t work in any other DAW that it would magically work in 12 but perhaps you had vst2 working before or it was on a different o/s or something??
No argument here. I think there is an issue with the latest version of maat gon. I have written to Maat Digital support to look at their package.
I downloaded it, installed it, searched for it in Cubase, find it, use it.
It took me lesser than 10min.
Can’t confirm the problems.
I’m on Windows 11, Cubase 14, btw.
VST3 or 2?
It’s always possible it relies on some other component being installed to run…missing runtimes can sometimes cause issues though usually it would appear in blocklist in that case.
EDIT: On my system VST2 does get added to blocklist. VST3 still not seen at all.
As the topic title suggests, I only tested VST3.
It’s really strange. After your message, I thought that Maat had come to give an old version to download, but no: it still doesn’t work for me.
Maat digital replied he’d take a look. I’ve given him the link on the topic here. Let’s wait and see. As soon as I get some feedback, I’ll let you know here.
Thank you to all for your help!
