Been away from VSTconnect for a long time having used it very successfully during covid. Came back today using different computers, interfaces and routers. Updated Cubase, audio drivers and VSTconnect both ends, all latest versions and releases. At first could not establish a connection with the performer. Opened firewall and router ports 5111 to 51117 to UDP both ends and got connected. Had video both ways but no audio and the ‘Performer Sync’ light was permanently red. Interface settings both sides were correct, buffers were set large and latency set to 3 Sec. Still no sync or audio. What have I missed? The guy is now driving 40 miles over to record his part here tonight. Disappointed.
Update: constrain delay compensation off, no plugins at all in the project on studio or performer machines.
Hi Allan,
I had the same audio issue the first time a few weeks ago.
I removed VST-Connect Pro from Cubase and reinstalled it.
Then I checked everything in the Control Room.
It’s been a while, so I can only guess, but it had something to do with the Control Room.
It should look something like this:
Thank you for your input. My control room setup is functionally the same as yours, I’m just using a different interface from RME. I updated VSTconnect Pro before all this but I will try uninstalling and re-installing as you did. Thanks again.
Hi Alan,
I wasn’t actually referring to uninstalling VST Connect from the operating system, but just removing it from the current Cubase project.
After removing it, then create a new VST Connect.
And don’t change any audio presets.
But a new install from VST Connect in your OS is also a good idea.
