VSTL 2 won't recognise iLok SSL SOLVED

OK - it turns out I’d never deleted the older VST/VST2 versions of these plugins - once I deleted them it was all good.

I did a re-scan adding the plugins folder as I couldn’t see many of my plugins.

Now VSTL is going round in circles not allowing me to open, keeps throwing up those “Authorisation required” panels for my SSL plugins. I’ve just checked to make sure and these plugins are authorised on my MacBook Pro as well as my iLok2.
It’s finally opened but still keeps flashing up the same alerts. I click cancel and it repeats after 10 seconds or so. Clicking OK doesn’t work - it’s not seeing the license - and clicking cancel just means it’ll flash the warnings.

It wouldn’t let me quit, had to force quit.
Ideas please?

Hi @Dr_Scardo,

I’m sorry. We cannot do anything. Those messages are coming directly from a plug-in instance. In your picture I can read “SSL Duende Native Vocalstrip”. I guess the messages behind are coming from other SSL products, right? That will explain why there are so many messages dialogs opened.

When VST Live detects a new plug-in, it has to open it to make sure that it’s a valid plug-in. This is done only once.

If you are sure that all licences are valid and those message are coming again and again, you have to contact the vendor of the plug-ins to get more help.

Have a nice day,
Michael

Thanks @Spork - in the meantime I solved it and did change the title of this post last night but forgot to click the tick!

In fact as you can see from the warnings, the giveaway was the word Duende - SSL haven’t used that for a very long time. So I investigated and once I’d removed the non-VST 2 & 3 versions, everything went smoothly.
Thanks again for your reply.
