VU Meter in upper right corner

I’d like a VU Meter embedded into Cubase, right above where the VU plugin is you see in the pic.

The blank area above is actually the status line and the info line combined. I could see a little VU meter sitting in there. It would be great for working on smaller screens.

People have been screaming at Steinberg for VU meters for donkey’s years. When I see a pig fly, I’ll believe Cubase has VU meters.
I sometimes use Harrison MixBus - Watching those meters bounce is really soothing…
But, yes, +1.

just a little baby one, that’s all I ask.

The Meter bridge, though… I’ve never made sense of that. Why would I want to look at vertical waveforms? Dunno. That’s no substitute for a VU meter.

+1 here but I’m sure it will be ignored by Steinberg.

But, shouldn’t it appear here - in channel strip inspector, or however it’s called - as an alternative to regular volume meter?

Wherever there is a meter, there should be an option for a VU meter.

I also wish that we could simply hide the entire plug-in header, and just see only the plugin itself. A tiny VU meter floating on top would also be nice…

You could even have the existing meters (vertical LED style) act like VU meters.

At least it would be something.

Indeed, it’s not about the format, it’s about the behaviour.
