W9: Create&Name marker

Create&Name marker, does this command still exist?
Can’t find it…I think I’m overlooking something again?

I don’t think that exists in WL9 but there are a couple of ways to interact with marker names which might help you as follows:

  1. In the Insert ribbon there’s a Marker name field
  2. In the Markers window Functions menu you can set default names for all marker types by selecting ‘Default marker names.’

This function is now integrated there:

This morning, when I reprogrammed my shortcut \ to “create generic marker” it was designated to “create and name marker”…now that I’ve removed it, I’d like designate alt+\ to “create and name marker”, but I can’t find the shortcuts-command “create and name marker” anymore in the shortcuts list…is it possible this key command was imported when I opened WL9 for the first time and my WL8.5-shortcuts were imported?

is it possible this key command was imported when I opened WL9 for the first time and my WL8.5-shortcuts were imported?

Yes, that must be the explanation.

So Philippe,
actually the shortcut “create and name marker” doesn’t exist anymore?

Right. To achieve the same result, type the marker name, then use a shortcut to create the marker.
