WaveLab-10 says "no CD-Drive"

Wavelab-10 Pro V. 10.0.70 (180)
I want to import an audio CD for the first time in a long time, but WL-10 does not recognize a CD drive.
I read somewhere that you should update to WL-10.0.30. But I’m already on 10.0.70

I have re-downloaded and installed the full update to 10.0.70, but still no CD drive

Otherwise audio CDs are played correctly, only in Wavelab it says “no device”

What can/should I do?

Hi!

Try this tip: Open CD-Import dialog first then insert Audio CD and import…

Thank you
That didn’t help either.
Still “No device”

CD is played, but not in WaveLab

Ich werde auf Wavelab-12-Pro updaten. Hier wird das CD-Laufwerk erkannt

I will update to Wavelab-12-Pro.
The CD drive is recognized here

If the drive is used by another software, it could be blocked from use in older Wavelab versions.
Sometimes the explorer blocked it. Very rare, but it sometimes happened to me as well.

So it works now?

Are you using an external USB-CDDVD? If yes, then WL is indeed finicky with how (if) it recognises it. As already mentioned, some drives don’t show themselves to the system before a disc is inserted, and if the OS has already grabbed the drive, WL won’t see it. My drive (a Samsung), also doesn’t play nice with USB3 ports (in WL), I have to use one of the USB2 ones. Trial and error…
