WaveLab 11: Intelligent Bypass‑Like Feature in Audio Montage?

This is just my humble suggestion:

I would really appreciate having something similar to the intelligent Bypass that is available in the Master Section’s plug‑in area — something that would allow a proper workflow for deciding what audio to add to an Audio Montage and at what volume.

Right now, the overall mix level changes, so I can’t reliably judge whether something actually sounds better or simply louder. (Louder almost always sounds better.)

Is there something I’ve overlooked that would allow me to achieve this?

When playing back, I have to adjust the volume slider in Relay to judge the optimal level for each lane.

The lanes represent different microphone positions from the same recording.

So far, I don’t know how to handle this directly in WaveLab. It seems there is a third‑party plug‑in that can do this, but it would be nice to have a built‑in solution for keeping the playback volume at the same level within WaveLab.

In WaveLab 12, you might be interesting by the Loudness Matching feature.
