WaveLab 12 Elements - Plugin RoomWorks

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased WaveLab 12 Elements and I’m starting to explore its features.
However, I noticed something that left me a bit puzzled: according to the manual, the RoomWorks plugin should be included, but in my installation I only see the RoomWorks SE version, which is quite limited.
I’m wondering if I might have done something wrong during installation, or if the full version of RoomWorks is simply not included in WaveLab Elements.

Also, since I own Cubase 13 Pro, I assumed I could use its plugins (including the full RoomWorks) in WaveLab, but I haven’t been able to make them show up.

Can anyone offer advice or a possible solution to this issue?

Thanks in advance!

Romeo

RoomWorks SE is indeed the version included in WaveLab Elements.

The Cubase plugins are only available in Cubase.

If Wavelab Pro trial let’s you save, and if using this plugin is important, you can consider installing trial version.

hanks for the information!
I purchased the Elements version to see if it’s really worth upgrading to Pro later on.

From my tests so far, I’ve noticed that many of the tasks I need can also be done in Cubase — and maybe Cubase even offers more tools for working with audio files.
Let me give you an example: I often import music from old vinyl records, so I need tools that allow me to easily split tracks and improve the listening experience by removing various types of noise that are inevitably present — both in older and even some newer records.
In the end, I’m starting to feel that I was doing better with Cubase: using its plugins, the results were more satisfying.
For instance, WaveLab’s RestoreRig only gives me trouble compared to Acon’s Declick, and I find Cubase’s EQs are definitely superior.
Maybe upgrading to WaveLab Pro would give me access to better plugins — possibly the same ones available in Cubase Pro 13?
I was under the impression that, since both products are from Steinberg, Cubase plugins would automatically be available in WaveLab Elements… maybe I expected too much!
So here’s my question:
Since many of you have more experience with WaveLab, is it possible to automatically render different parts of an audio file (defined by markers), without having to manually select each region one by one?
I’m referring to a situation like this (see image):

I hope I’ve explained myself clearly.
Thanks for taking the time to read and help!

You can test the PRO Version for 60 days.

The Batch processor is incredible, give it try.

Plugins are listet here:

I see Pro and Elements should both include Roomworks and Roomworks SE

If you want to split audio file into different parts, it is possible using Auto Split (Ctrl+T) function of the Audio Editor. You can split however you want, Marker, Marker Names, Silences, Marker Types etc. This is not related to rendering plugins to your audio file.

In the Montage you can render with plugins using option below

In fact, I had also read about the presence of ROOMWORKS in the ELEMENTS version? but I can’t find it… How do I do that?

Thank you

Marker, are you referring to the PRO version? I have the ELEMENTS version.

Thank you

Yes, you can try the Pro version for 60 days.
In Elements see if this works for you

I believe that for whatever reason, this a WaveLab Pro feature.

WaveLab Elements is too limited in my opinion. I don’t think you can really compare Elements and Pro as they are too different.

In my view, saving a little money on the Elements version is not worth the restrictions and lack of features.

As others have mentioned, you can demo the Pro version. There is a leaning curve so don’t expect it to work like Cubase.

Thank you, I really appreciate your help.

I had considered trying the Pro version right away, but for now I thought Elements would be enough for the relatively simple tasks I need to do.
However, I’m realizing that it’s quite limited, maybe even more so than Audacity, which is free.

It’s true that WaveLab Elements has a much nicer and more polished user interface compared to Audacity.
But aside from the visual aspect… are there any real advantages in terms of functionality?
Maybe I’m missing something, so I’d like to ask you:
In your opinion, what are the real strengths of WaveLab Elements compared to Audacity?*

Thank you

I installed Elements and this is what I found

  1. In the Montage and the Audio Editor, you can render only one region at a time. But you can change regions and render other regions.

  2. You can copy markers

  3. RoomWorks SE is found in the Steinberg Plugin List in WL Elements. I do not see this plugin in Pro. In Elements it is also a clip plugin (Accessed through Inspector)

.

You can use Elements for a while and then upgrade if you think you want more features.
