We are pleased to announce the availability of a new maintenance update for WaveLab Pro, Elements and LE, version 9.5.35.
This minor update includes specific stability improvements related to using VST2 plug-ins, the RestoreRig, and it also fixes an issue when updating the DDP Player.
After the update, the program when minimized opens only on one monitor instead of two. It’s horrible. How to roll back the version 9.5.2?
And I really do not understand why in the default situation when you save the mp3 wavelab set each time the bitrate 128? And every time i change it to 320, each time…
Also, Im still having problem with restore rig . Program loads up. i choose empty pallet. It opens, restore rig opens automatically then whole program shuts down. This happens every time
This is so hard, frustrating!! Ive took a few weeks off to calm down. Went back, uninstalled WL Elements 9.5, reinstalled, with update, again. Still nothing. Now, Im new to WL, but a loyal user of Cubase for a long time. I’ve downloaded WL element 9. It works fine. so , whats going on with 9.5? you’ve seen my many posts. Nothing works! I have a simple request. When you post the new upgrade to WL elements 10, could you please let me download for free? cuz I’m getting nothing for my money on WL Elements 9.5. Which I bought initially after never purchasing WL before. Something has got to give. Its been a tease. Please reply Im not trying to take advantage, Im just hoping the new update will give me what I paid for. Thanks
Just a suggestion. Reset the preferences: Close Wavelab. Type %appdata% in the Windows search box, press Enter, go to the Steinberg folder that’s in there, and rename the Wavelab Elements 9.5 folder to xWavelab Elements 9.5. Then it’ll make a new settings folder when you start Wavelab Elements again. It might help.
Thanks Bob99, no go! it looked promising but everytime I bring up restore rig, which is a main reason for Wavelab, it buffers then dies. Thats what is always been doing. Its the restore rig.
I’m having a nightmare installing this - I am on Elements 9 and am trying to upgrade to 9.5.35 but it now seems to want a USB e-licence or something? What is the process from 9 to 9.5.35? I’m an hour in and got nowhere. Reaper takes less than a minute to upgrade including the download. Help!
We just updated our computers to WaveLab Pro v9.5.35. (build 152) 64 bit.
We do a lot of audio archiving, recording large audio files to digital with WaveLab. In doing so we insert markers at key points during the recording. When the recording is complete we go back to insert additional time markers at 5-minute intervals. The problem for us with this update is that when we name and insert a marker, the name is left blank in the Markers window and we have to reenter it. There has never been a problem with this before in 9.5. How can this be corrected?
The marker naming works ok here on Windows 10. (You might want to re-post this in the Topics section instead of the Announcements section. You’ll probably get more replies there. I have in the past.)

I can’t reproduce a problem. Please describe precisely what you do.
Thanks. I’ll post there. For PGs question to me, I can add markers as I record no problem. It’s when I need to go back and add my time markers, the markers will be added but the names will not populate the markers window so I have to re-enter them. I would like a solution to this as I never had to do this in previous versions, even 9.5. This occurs on several of our computers as well as my home computer. We are running Windows 10.
I am unable to apply update 9.5.35 to Wavelab Elements 9.1.0 under Windows 10. Any suggestions?
The update opens. Next, Wavelab 9.5.35 is selected (the No Changes options is checked, and cannot be unchecked). Next, the message “There are no operations to perform”, and go Back or Finish are the options. There in no installation/update.
Still after latest update, Restore Rig still shuts down program. Like I said before, I went back to WL elements 9, it works fine. 9.5, it crashes. My first WL experience has not been a good one.
