Hi everyone - I’m not a frequent batch processor user, so I’m having trouble with this. I’m looking for a way to speed up needing to deliver stems that are mastered through the same plugin chain as the approved final master. I was thinking the batch processor might do this well, but I can’t seem to import a plugin chain into it. I’d have to rebuild it plugin by plugin with no settings. Is there a better way to automate things like this to batch process a folder of files with the same settings?
Unfortunately, in that case, the fastest way is to save each plugin’s preset and reload them in a new plugin chain in the batch processor.
But if I understand you right, why not “more simply” substitute the clip audio files with the stems, using this function (and then render the clips). Just an idea, I ignore the details of your context.
Yes. WaveLab 11 and WaveLab 12 are totally separate applications and even have their own unique Preferences Folders so you can have both installed.
Just remember that montages aren’t backwards compatible so if you start a montage project in WaveLab 12, it can’t be opened in 11.
If you open a WaveLab 11 montage in WaveLab 12, it should save it with .v12 added to the original montage name to prevent making the original montage invalid with WaveLab 11.
Hello, on the batch processor,
In the montage, could batch just process region / title as a render would do,
Or do I need to render, and then batch process.
What I’d like to end up with is some kind of multiple render applying different master process from track title markers, in a click or 2
For exemple :
/Output
-/24b 96kHz undithered
-/1644 TP limited dithered
-/24b 44.1kHz dithered
-/-1dB 24b 44.1kHz dithered
Does it make sense and is it possible to grab track titles or Cd titles in the batch processor
And eventually to chain a batches ?
I would render all the titles to 32 bit float, then having a different batch processor for 4 above types of output, to process all titles in each one. All this can’t be automated with a single click, however.
Thanks @PG1
would you consider that as an possibility for a future update?
For exemple wl creates a temporary 32bit from track titles that will be batch process then wl erase the temporary 32bf ?
Or is there a limitation?
