Wavelab no audio output

Subject: Wavelab no audio output
Description: When I attempt to play a file in Wave Lab I get an msg. saying:
The VST audio connections are not valid. Check the VST audio connections dialog.

I checked and verified sample rate @ 44.1, Driver for audio card up to date RME Fireface UFX, but still does not play.

Did you check the VST Audio settings in Wavelab? That’s where the problem is, according to the dialog.

I have the same issue with my Pro-Ject DAC on MacOS Sierra. Support told me that it’s a known issue… The DAC is running fine in every other audio software. Very annoying.

Actually I posted the question in the Forum at the same time I contacted Steinberg support. I got the
following response and it worked.

Please try erasing the preferences:

Remove this folder:
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\WaveLab 8\

Then restart WaveLab
