Wavelab pro 12 won't play on any audio device

Hello,

I’m running Mac mini pro M4 and I upgraded from Elements 12 to Pro 12 a few days ago. All was working until today when Pro would not play any audio. Yesterday it was working fine.

  1. Audio Interface MOTU ultralite mk5 is recognized and selected.
  2. Audio file is loaded and Pro plays the waveform.
  3. MOTU does not receive any data - all input are zero
  4. Pro also does not play other interfaces e.g. Built in Audio and Grace m905
  5. My previous Wavelab Elements 12 works just fine, and all audio settings are identical on both releases.
  6. Went through the reboot/powerdown/uninstall/reinstall with no change.
  7. Rolled back Pro to the first day I purchased it March 2 via TimeMachine - no change.

I’m stumped. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Check settings under…
File>Preferences>Audio Device
Playback
Recording
e.t.c

Check with other software does it work?

What audio connections have you set in WaveLab?

Playback is set to Ultralite-MK5 and Main Out 1/2. Same for both WL Elements and WL Pro. Elements works, Pro does not.

I found my problem. Master volume was down in WL Pro, but up in WL Elements. All good now - thank you both for your responses.
