Our plugins have issues with Clip rendering and I thought with the Warm up feature in v12 this would solve it. Any help on what to do from our side, as developers to address this?
One of our Wavelab full edition beta users said the following:
Sometimes I’m able to get a clean render by putting 5 secs of empty space in front of the clip and having the new “plugin warm-up” setting in the montage references set to max (3 secs). If I reduce the empty space to 2 secs or if I reduce the warm up time, the issue happens again.
ps: We, as developers purchased Wavelab Elements 12. I could not find this Warm-up feature in the Preferences nor in the user guide. Is this supported in the Elements 12 version?
This feature just does this: it sends silent samples a bit before the clip actual samples are sent. And these silent samples are of course removed before writing to file.
OK, can you please define what is " silent samples a bit before the clip " as a developer, I need to know how to deal with Clip render and the information is scarce.
Copying again from the user’s message: Sometimes I’m able to get a clean render by putting 5 secs of empty space in front of the clip and having the new “plugin warm-up” setting in the montage references set to max (3 secs). If I reduce the empty space to 2 secs or if I reduce the warm up time, the issue happens again.
ps: Do you offer an NFR Wavelab for plugin developers?
This simply simulates that the clip starts with 1 second of silence.
If the clip is 30 seconds long, the plugin will process 31 seconds, with the first one being silence.
