Way to color bars of timeline?

Is there a way to add color to sections of a timeline? I often find myself trying to count out bars as I am trying to structure a song with fills at the end of bars, etc. It would be nice if I could color code each bar.

You can always try the Arranger Track.

Or you can put a Midi Track in the upper section, draw in an event across the length of the song. Chop it up in X amount of events, in any given lenght of bars and/or beats. Then give every new event its own color.

I don’t know if it helps, but I’ve used the Midi Track version as a replacement/in addition for my Marker Track for better visual cue.
You can even give each midi part its own name (eg. verse, chorus…).

thats great idea Bredo, i will try this for spotting scenes, after hours and hours of working the timeline its becomes a blur of markers…

Pinnacle won’t, but Yamaha probably could.

But think about whether you want that midi track time based or meter based. Or have two.
