Hello,
I work as an audiovisual technician at a school. We recently purchased two Steinberg UR22mkII audio interfaces for project work and P.A. system calibration. Both units initially worked perfectly with any Windows 11 PC or Mac, without requiring additional drivers—just plug and play.
However, during a recent P.A. system installation, we suddenly encountered an issue: we couldn’t get any readable input from our calibration microphone. After investigating, we discovered that one of the Steinberg interfaces had become unusable—The input signal is weirdly fuzzy.
I’ve tried every possible troubleshooting step: reinstalling drivers, adjusting settings, checking power sources. Strangely, the second UR22mkII continues to work flawlessly under the same conditions (same computer, drivers, microphones, and power source).
I’ve searched online for similar issues but haven’t found any solutions. Could you help me pinpoint the problem? At this point, I’m unsure whether the issue is software-related or hardware-related.
Thank you for your assistance!
