What audio interface works best with Apple IPad Pro 12.9 6th generation?

Hello New here Good day to all,
I will be running my new audio interface on Apple
iPad Pro 12.9 6th generation for love performances and studio will be on windows 11 64bit. Was all set to buy the UR-RT4 until finding out it is USB 2.0. I see the UR44C is the new UsB-C? I thought the more expense and newer would be running on the newer USB -C?
Any input ion why this is? What Steinberg audio interface will work for love sessions using the Apple IPad Pro 12.9 6th generation. Have the new camera adapter and when I read that the IR-RT4 had something called CC mode and was suppose to work great with the Apple Pro IPad was going to buy it until seeing it’s using the older 2.0 USB. So stop the purchase via Sweetwater until I can find out which of the Steinberg audio interfaces will work with the Apple IPad Pro 6th generation and also on my home Windows 11 64bit. I had heard Steinberg worked great on Apple iPad and was going to use it with Loopy Pro and Line 6 HX Stomp Xl with the softstep midi foot controller. Now had to put a hold on the purchase until I can find which audio interface would work best. I was a bit surprised finding that the newer UR-RT4 was using the older technology of 2.0 USB?

TIA,
Have a great day everyone
Cheers :slightly_smiling_face:

Don’t be fooled by marketing fluff…
USB-C on the UR-C series is only a change of the physical connector, it’s still USB2 running underneath. (Ok ok it’s advertised as 3.0, but in this specific case it’s all the same)

That said, the 44C is still a better choice over the RT4 because it has a hair more dynamic range (aka less noise) and a bit beefier DSP.

And talking of marketing fluff, the Neve transformers on RT4 are even more outrageous fluff… but that’s a whole different debate that brings up more emotional reactions than common sense.

Edit: I just checked the price of the RT4 - Definitely NOT worth it! Go with the 44C, you will have a bit cleaner signal, faster DSP for less money.

And BTW, the pseudo “32-bit depth” of the UR-C is just more marketing fluff again… it’s really 24-bit, like every body else, but with 8 more bits of random padding. In effect, you get only about 17 bits of clean/usable signal, the rest is electronic noise.

Nonetheless, the UR-C series is still a great pick, and much better than the RT4.

Thanks very much for the input. Sweetwater sales person was telling
Me Steimberg doesn’t play good with iPad Pro 12.9 6th generation and suggested a moti M6 or an apogee diet both are very expensive!!

. I’ve spoken with a few musicians who say the Steinberg UR44-C works good with the iPad Pro and is Class compliant. So going to order one plus I’m already using cubase on my iPad Pro.
Thanks for your input
