What differences Cubase pro 13 vs cubase pro 13 full version?

I have allready an activated license for Cubase Pro 13, Dorico Pro 5, WaveLab Pro 12. Why repay licenses. Are there some differences “on the full versions of…” ? As i show in online shop there are not differences.

Indeed, why repay licenses. Were you told you should pay another license, or that you still don’t own full version, or similar? I don’t fully understand your issue. Regarding Cubase Pro and the others, those are the only Pro versions, there aren’t another “Pro full versions”. If you already own Cubase, Dorico and Wavelab pro, you are good. If you were told another thing, maybe you can give more details here, to understand where the confusion is.

“Full version” probably means a new licence bought at full price in contrast to updates which you get much cheaper. The current 70% discount vouchers, for example, are only valid for “full” Pro versions and not for updates or upgrades which are 50% off at the moment.

Aah, right, that is for sure the confusion here, I understand it now.

What is the defference? An update version is defference for “full” Pro version?
I donot think…

Full version means that you did not have Cubase so far. So you have to pay the full price for a license.
Update version means you already a license for an older version of Cubase, thus you pay a much lower price to get the new version.

It is not about what you get in the end - it is about where you are coming from.

In my account… i see…

but my products are as you can see…

I think that Steingberg informs everyone without criteria. There is no reason to buy the same product again. All pro are same. Aren’t ?

yes they are

…and that’s why someone updates the old version to new by paying a fee. If this option didn’t exist, companies would have a lot of problems, so they can and do keep their customers.

in fact I think there is no reason.

You already own the Pro versions. Independently of the fact that you purchased them making updates from previous versions (Cubase 12, for example) or purchased the full version at once, you already own the Pro “full” versions. Those coupons are intended for people that could have interest in purchasing some of the Pro versions of software they still don’t own. For example, I have Cubase and Dorico Pro, but used the 70% off coupon for Wavelab Pro, that I didn’t own.

Or let your drummer use it.

It’s just a sale which is only available to existing customers. Unless you already own every Steinberg product, the items on sale will include both stuff you own & stuff you don’t own. Most folks won’t repurchase something they already own. But you could if you wanted - like for your kid or a friend.

Actually, that is something I was wondering. It is not my drummer today, but an old friend and old band mate since we were teenagers. I wanted to lend him an 8 channel interface to record his drum kit and was wondering if I own a second license of Cubase if I can let him use it without using my first one. Do you know if I need to create a second Steinberg account to do this purchase or can simply buy the second license under my current account? Will there be a conflict? I guess no, but am not sure and can find proper information on this.

Edit:
Well, I found this in the main site:

Can I also purchase a second copy of my application with the loyalty rebate?

No, if you already own a copy of i.e. Cubase Pro 13, you won’t be able to purchase another license of Cubase Pro 13 with the loyalty rebate.

So, not possible, apparently. I don’t know if creating a second account is something acceptable or it is considered a bad practice by Steinberg. Don’t want to have trouble.

Quite literally - give the code to your friend.

Problems are two: he will not buy it. And if the license is mine, I could use it for other projects after the recordings with him. In short I need that the license is under my control.

Are you meaning it is not possible (allowed) to have two accounts under my name in Steinberg?

I would not see any legal problem having more than one account. If you run a bigger studio you need to buy multiple licenses under the same name.
So go ahead, I’d say. Just remember - a license is tied to a MySteinberg account.

You do realize you can authorize one Cubase license to run on 3 different computers at one time.

Thank you. That sounds good.

Yes, I am aware of that, but given the opportunity the coupon offers I would prefer to use the new license for those projects “outdoors” and keep my own system working like before. Actually in the last weeks I was only wondering about the possibility, but this weekend was thinking more seriously about it.
