What does the red triangle icon in the Project Window Ruler signify?

I can’t seem to figure this out, what does the RED TRIANGLE icon signify? I can move it to any position in the time line, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. I didn’t notice this before, but haven’t done much and am only getting back into Cubase after a long time.

Hi,

that’s the punch-out point being reflected on your ruler. You can move it or deactivate it by clicking here in the transport panel below your project window (click on the three dots if you can’t see it like this):

Thank you!! I must have mistakenly set that. I need to learn more about setting up the Transport Bar. It’s either Too Much Info or not enough!
