What happened to the highlighting of the selected track in the track list? It’s just an alternative shade of the same color as the unselected track? In Cubase 12 you could see which track was selected from across the room. In Cubase 13 you have to really look at and interpret what you see to determine which track is selected??? Who thought that was a good idea? I can’t find the setting to change this in the preferences?
I agree. This is a step backward in workflow for me.
+1
Selected tracks should be visible at a glance. You should never have to scan the screen looking for it. The contrast settings in preferences would be sufficient if the track name turned to black, as with previous versions.
That’s the behaviour I would prefer.
Uncheck “Show Color for Selected Channel” and it will be white as you want…
And then you couldn’t read the name of the track since text is white also. Would think though that the first maintenance update will address this issue… This can’t be a design choice, right…?

No!!!
I was happy for several seconds! Yeah, seems like a prime contender for a 13.00.20 fix?
I understand that the texte would be more readable if it would be black. This is kind of illogical to put it white on a white track …they will probably correct that “one day”
But to be honest as I don’t put the “selection brightness” to the maximum (maybe 60%) my selected track is clearly visible and my track title are readable in the arranger so I didn’t even noticed they forgot to put the texte black in those conditions as in Cubase 12…
Good point! Problem solved!
