What is the newest version of Cubase that supports Firewire and my Steinberg MR816 X and MR816 CSX

I currently have Cubase 6 with an eLicenser dongle that works well with both my Steinberg MR816 X and MR816 CSX mixer/interfaces. I run everything in Windows 7 and connect with FireWire.
Can someone tell me which version of Cubase will still support FireWire and allow me to keep using my Steinberg mixers?
Thanks
DW

Cubase should work with the interfaces, as long as the ASIO driver is properly working.
The problem is: You only can buy Cubase 14 now. That is not supported on Win7 anymore, only Win10 and higher. The problem might be the support for Win10 regarding the interface and the drivers (and Cubase integration).
Windows 11 doesn’t support Firewire anymore.

I’m hoping I may still be able to get Cubase 14 and all drivers to work on Windows 10. I already have a full updated, maxed out Windows 10 computer with SSDs and max RAM running Studio One 7 with perpetual license. It would be great to be able to get all that to work together. I have a Yamaha Motif XS8 that works great on my Windows 7 computer with Cubase 6 AI. Hoping the migration to Windows 10, will work. I will then keep that computer dedicated and probably off the web, (unless it HAS to be connected for occasional license verification…).
Thank You!!

Well, there seem to be drivers and tools available for your interfaces, although not officially supported:

Worth a try.

Hi Don,

Running Windows 11 Pro 24H2, Cubase pro 14.0.10.
MR816csx runs without any problem.
Windows 11 detects the FW card (TI chip)and installs the driver.
