What is wide="true" in almost all Steinberg XML files?

I’m poking around again …
This time I’m in drum maps which are essentially XML files and AGAIN :open_mouth:
Not that it matters but I’m just dying to know what this value pair thingie is:

This thing “wide” is all over the place in Cubase settings files and it’s hardly ever set to anything else than “true”?!!?
I made a lame Google attempt but gave up …
Does anyone know?

Try changing it to false and see what happens.
