What’s the difference between Cubase artist and pro?
About $250… (Sorry couldn’t resist)
Select Cubase Pro and Cubase Artist here to compare which features are missing or have limitations in Cubase Artist:
Like their names imply, Cubase Pro is essential if you plan to do advanced MIDI and audio work, or perhaps work with a studio. That said, these days Cubase Artist isn’t actually that limited if you’re primarily making music for yourself. Remember that you can always upgrade to Pro later if you ever need any of its features.
If you’re running the trial version, you can hold the Alt key (Option if you’re on Mac) while Cubase is starting up to force it to run in Cubase Artist mode. This way, you can see for yourself if it has everything you need to make music.
