Running Cubase 12.0.70 with Apollo Twin. When I add a VST instrument to a track a note plays and I have to reset MIDI to turn it off. Then, if I go back and select that or any other Instrument track with a VST, the note plays again and I have to reset. It seems to be MIDI related. It’s always the same note that plays, so something is sending a specific MIDI number. I reinstalled Cubase but the issue persists. Anyone have a thought on what could be the issue?
So now all audio and VST response is hosed. Getting no reponse from VSTs instrument tracks though I see MIDI signal in the Cubase MIDI detection meter in the bottom right of the application. Pressing keys on the VST interface gets no response either. Seems like the keys on the VST are delayed or partially responsive.
A common route for unwanted MIDI notes to play is a failure to uncheck the “In ‘All MIDI inputs’” box next to controllers such as transport controls in Studio → Studio Setup… → MIDI Port Setup.
Thanks, David. That seemed to fix the issue, though I turned off all the “In ‘All MIDI inputs’”, so now will have to add them one at a time to see which controller caused the issue. I’ll update this topic when I have a solution verified.
