When I use Bias FX standalone Cubase records a clear sound

Hi,

When I use Bias FX standalone Cubase records a clear sound. I tried others software and in standalone works fine but the guitar recorded id absolutely clear without effects.

Is it possible to record the sound with the effect applied but without using as VST?

I use Scarlett 2i2 third generation and also Riff (positive Grid) with the same results.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

If you want to record guitar in Cubase and use an amp simulation software, you need to use it as a VST. You cannot use the standalone version to record in Cubase.
You might want to search YouTube e.g. for “guitar recording Cubase” or similar for tutorials how to do that. This is an example from Steinberg’s own Youtube Channel (a bit older and different amp sim, but the principles are the same):

Thank you so much for your reply. Ok I understand. I know how to record as a VST but I’ve an old laptop and VST use lots of my computer resources.

Thanks you
