This might be a question for the developers, but inquiring minds want to know. I’ve checked the usual places like Application Support (I’m a Mac user) and can’t seem to find any.
I mostly just want to make sure they get included in my regular backups.
If anyone knows I’d appreciate a pointer.
following this.
Also, is there a way to change this location? I use dorico on two machines, and would like for both of them to access the same template file spot.
Note: This is for templates you create, not the factory provided ones.
For Windows it’s %appdata%\Roaming\Steinberg\Dorico 5\Project Templates. Perhaps that is enough to help you figure it out for Mac? (A quick search on the internet suggests it’s in the " ~/Library/Application Support
" folder).
A tip. When I got a new computer I believe I copied everything from the Dorico 5 folder and pasted into the same path in the new computer. (I did have to edit the default file paths in program settings as I used a different folder on the new computer).
On Mac and with Dorico 5, it’s ~/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Dorico 5/Project Templates.
Yes, I found it there. I think I was looking in the “/Library/Application Support” (root Library) folder. And it sounds like it is not possible to change the location.
Thanks for the help.
