Where can I find the delete button?

Guys, I need help removing flows from my Dorico project in my IPad.

Some things to try:

Re-size the Project Info dialog (drag a corner) - I don’t know if that is possible on the iPad version

Close the Project Info dialog and re-open it

Quit Dorico and re-open the project

Restart the iPad.

It’s not in the Project Info window – it’s in Setup Mode. Select the flow you want to delete, at the bottom of the screen, and then click the trash can icon. (This screenshot is from the desktop version, but it works the same way on iPad.)

That’s interesting, because in the Desktop version there IS a trash can icon in the Project Info dialog. Select a flow, click on the icon, and the flow is removed.

Yes, that’s right, the iPad version has no trash in the Project Info window:

These do not work for me.

Well, I think dorico should add the delete feature to the project info instead of putting it in the set up place.

I should totally get a computer.

That’s why I said “Some things to try:” rather than “these will fix it”.
I do not have have the iPad version. My suggestions were based on a mixture of my experience with the Dorico desktop version and some behaviours which are sometimes cross-platform across various types of computing devices.

Sorry, I just didn’t see that there.

No worries. They were only suggestions (in the hope that one of them might work).

Thanks for the info all!

As Aaron said earlier in the thread, you can delete flows via the Flows panel in Setup mode.

Wouldn’t it be better if the iPad version with flows work more like the desktop version?

Unfortunately, due to some technical limitations concerning the way message boxes work in the Qt application framework on iPadOS, we can’t make the Project Info dialog work in the same way on iPad as it does on desktop. We can’t show the same kinds of “are you sure?” confirmation message boxes when there’s already a dialog showing. One user didn’t realise that they were deleting the flows from their project altogether by tapping the delete button in the dialog because Dorico wasn’t able to warn them, so we decided to remove the button from the iPad version.

This totally makes sense.

Okay.
