Where did the Snap button go?

Refer wide screenshot.
I cannot find the Snap button, but when I type the shortcut J, it activates Snap. Moreover, it defaults to Snap to Measure. This is on a New Project. I have tried dragging the three dots dividers and clicking the Cogwheel, to no avail. However Snap appears in the Editors (screenshots attached). How can I get the Snap button to appear in the Project window, and edit the values it snaps to?

It seems the “Snap” control element is disabled in the toolbar. On Windows I can right-click on the toolbar and activate it in the component panel. Not sure how it works on Mac:

By making a right click on the icon bar and activate the display of the snap button. It is also possible that it already is activated but is not visible because your window is not wide enough to display every icon.

Thanks for promptly replying.
Snap definitely enabled - refer screenshot.

Thanks for promptly replying.
I have twin 34" 4K monitors, but yes, when I deselected loads of stuff from the Toolbar Setup, the Snap button reappeared along with snap settings menu - screenshot attached.

… but what resolution do you have them set to? (if on Windows, right-click on the Desktop, select “Display Settings” and scroll down to “Scale and layout”, look at “Display resolution”).

Thanks for your response. Mac Pro, macOS Sonoma 14.5.
Resolution: 2560x1440 - refer screenshot.

If you select “Reset all” in the “Set up Toolbar” pop-up, does Snap reappear?

I think the problem is that even 2560x1440 is not big enough to display all possible items simultaneously. As a workaround, you could start with “Reset all”, then add only the ones you need and save that as a preset.

Perhaps the devlopers are now using so-called “4K” screens with 4096×2160 resolution? Either that, or it is assumed that nobody would ever want all items displayed simultaneously.

Can’t you just change the order of elements in that bar anymore in C13? In C12 you can easily move the Snap button more to the left, thus making it visible (on behalf of some other icon that will disappear).

Ah, yes, you can! Screenshot attached.
Thanks.

If I increase screen resolution to 3840x2160, then yes, all the buttons display, including when all are selected in the dropmenu.
Because this makes the text almost too small to read, I choose the lower value, so workaround is unselect those I don’t often use.
Thanks

I have the same problem. However the keyboard shortcut J does work.

And the proposed solution does not work for you?

Whats the trick to get the pencil tool to draw a region that actually snaps to the grid?
