I can’t find a download link for Cubase 10.5 anywhere. The only download for it in the Cubase 10 downloads section is a patch to update an already-installed Cubase 10.5. There’s no new installation download for Cubase 10.5, while there is for Cubase 10, Cubase 9.5, Cubase 9, etc. Cubase 10.5 is the only one that doesn’t have a download for a new installation.
Why is the download for my Cubase software not front-and-centre on my products page when I’m signed into my account? Why has Steinberg hidden the download for the software?
Now, some questions for Steinberg are: Why is that not explained anywhere on Cubase’s website, including the Cubase 10.5 downloads section, and and why is Cubase 10.5 the only version to not have the full new download available in its download section? And how can people download it without using the download assistant, as they should be able to do?
This isn’t the first time I’ve had trouble finding my downloads on Cubase’s website, or navigating Cubase’s website. There isn’t a coherent path to wanting a download and finding it. It takes thorough exploring of Cubase’s website to discover where the various downloads are, and, as seen here, even asking on the forums where to find one that isn’t included on their website.
These are good questions the answers to which only the Shadow knows . Ha! I kid.
Actually, I think they are trying to please both worlds, that of the early adopter type, and that of the if-it-ain’t-broke-don’t-fix-it type.
So far – mixed results! Hopefully your future file searches will go better.
Also a suggestion – once you download the 21 gb file, extract the Cubase installer itself and save it separately. Let me know if you need to know how, and when you do, include your OS if you please.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page in the link, there it quite plainly states “Initial Full Installer” Version 10.5 @ 20GB. It also states that this initial version can be updated the any of the available updated versions if required.
I see. I didn’t spot it before because that’s a different organisation than for all the other download pages, which have the full installer also at the top. Thanks for the heads up.
