Hi,
When I first installed the VSTs for Dorico I only downloaded the absolutely necessary to run because of storage problems. Now I am manually downloading what I skipped. I managed to find everything in Steinberg download assistant except the Indian Drum basics. I just can’t find them. Any tips?
Welcome to the forum, @muladhara2004. In Steinberg Download Assistant, choose My Product Downloads on the left-hand side, and you should see Dorico Pro 5 listed (or whichever flavour of Dorico you have a license for). Select that, and on the right-hand side you will see all the various download choices, including Indian Drum Basics.
Thank you dspreadbury! But does that mean I should download the rest this way also?
Absolutely, that’s what SDA is there for. If any of the components shown there don’t show green bars with checkmarks/ticks in them, click the Install All button at the top right to install everything you need.
Great! Thank you.
One more question please:
When I install from the download assistant, the files go to my download folder. Is there a way to change?
In the Download Assistant top right, click on the Settings (wheel) icon for options. You can check what the destination path is set to … after clicking on some software to install in the left window, the right window, top left will show you the Target Folder.
After you’ve installed everything, and all the progress bars show fully green with checkmarks, you can delete the Steinberg folder left behind in your Downloads folder. Everything you have installed will have been moved if necessary.
